Description
The CRP Turbidimetric Method is a laboratory test used to measure the levels of C-reactive protein (CRP) in the blood. This method involves mixing the patient’s serum with reagents containing anti-CRP antibodies. When CRP is present, it forms antigen-antibody complexes, causing turbidity (cloudiness) in the solution. The degree of turbidity is measured using a turbidimeter, and the CRP concentration is calculated.
This highly sensitive and quantitative test is commonly used to detect and monitor inflammation, infections, cardiovascular conditions, and other inflammatory diseases.
